The objective of the SIEPAC project is the creation and gradual consolidation of a Regional Wholesale Electricity Market for Central America. This includes the design and implementation of the appropriate legal, institutional and technical mechanisms, so that the participation of the private sector in the development of generation and transmission infrastructures is encouraged. The job consists of taking part, as the President, of the Advisory Committee of the SIEPAC project.
The Advisory Committee consists of a group of three individual consultants, whose main function is to advise the Directive Board of the project, the Scheduling and Evaluation Committee and the Executive Unit, in order to guide the regulatory decisions, the organization of the system operator and the regional regulatory commission, so that the regional market is efficiently implemented. The Advisory Committee will supervise the entire realization of the SIEPAC project.
